Meet the Team
Irene E. Ramos
President/CEO
About Me
Growing up in Central Valley-California, my parents instilled values of perseverance and work ethic. Along with my six sisters, we worked on my grandmother’s ranch picking and packing cherry tomatoes and a variety of veggies. My curiosity and enthusiasm for learning led me to attend California State University, Fresno, (CSUF) where I earned both Bachelor and Master Degrees in the field of Social Work. Here is where I honed my skills and laid the foundation for my future endeavors.
Professional Journey
My career began in Civil Service working as a Social Worker and Supervisor for Madera and Sacramento Counties in the Child Protection and Adoption Service programs. I served families and children who were impacted by poverty, crime, social injustices, and lacked knowledge of how to access education and community services. By practicing family-centered models and implementing evidence-based approaches I advocated to ensure the most vulnerable populations were no longer marginalized and had a voice. Over the years, I have been a Specialist/Consultant at California Department of Social Service, (CDSS) (CDMH) California Department of Corrections, (CDCR) California Department of Developmental Services, (CDDS), and US Department of Health and Human Services. I eventually retired from the State of California and transitioned into the Health Care System. I am currently practicing as a Medical Social Worker/Associate Clinical Social Worker in Home Health Care and Hospice Programs and am President of TruCare Innovation.
Major Achievements
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to achieve several milestones, including:
● Co-Authored and published, “Woman Incarcerated in California State Prisons and gender-specific treatment modalities for rehabilitation.” Article published in the Professional Journal of Social Work in 1998.
● Honorarium Presenter at the National Association for Social Workers, (NASW) and Latino Social Workers Organization, (LSWO) presenting research findings regarding evidence-based treatment modalities for Woman Incarcerated with mental health diagnosis.
● Became a sworn Peace Officer and have promoted public safety while managing a Mental Health Program in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for Juvenile Offenders.
● Associate Clinical Social Worker and Medical Social Worker in Home Health Care and Hospice Programs.
● Certified Professional Fiduciary for California State.
● President of TruCare Innovation.
These accomplishments underscore my ability to help the working worried as they navigate complex systems to access medical and community services for their loved ones.
A Vision for the Future
As I look ahead, my goal is to continue pushing through systemic barriers and navigating convoluted systems for clients, families and communities to ensure access to medical care and services. Access and equity are the fundamental right for wellness and health. I am excited to embark on new ventures that will allow me to leverage my skills and make a meaningful difference in the world.
Thank you for visiting my web page. I invite you to contact me and join me on this exciting journey as I help you and others navigate systems to access care and information.
Louise Ramos Ramirez
Sr. Consultant
About Me
I have great love and deep respect for life. I, Louise Ramos Ramirez, am here to serve you. I am conscientious and thoughtful, and I value your needs and wellbeing. I enjoy the challenges that come with maneuvering through complicated systems and linking people to appropriate services for their individual needs and overall wellbeing. I am your facilitator and helper and will work to empower you and to help better your life.
Early Life and Education
I am a lifelong resident of the State of California. I am a true-blue, homegrown farm girl since childhood. I have over 30 years of experience in the medical field that extends to geriatric case management and a degree in business. I was raised by two amazingly wonderful parents who taught me the importance of serving the community and setting good examples to others by way of my behavior and industrious work ethic. My parents encouraged education and my passion for the elderly population led me to earn my Bachelor and Master Degrees in Business/Psychology and a Certification in Gerontology. I graduated for California State University, Fresno, University of the Rockies and San Joaquin Valley College where I earned an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting.
Professional Journey
My career began in the Medical Field, where I worked in industrial medicine for a little over four years. Understanding workers’ compensation insurance policies and related laws is essential work and remains in high demand. Moreover, I worked five years in family practice, and four more years with the Multi-specialty Center. This excellent group of specialists consisted of neurosurgeons, general surgeons, a gastroenterologist, an ENT specialist, an orthopedic surgeon, a plastic surgeon, a burn specialist and finally a rheumatologist. There is no bigger challenge than changing my hat from day to day and jumping right into the different areas of medical practice, where I cared directly for the patients. The medical field has left me with invaluable experience and goes hand in hand with my psychology degree. Caregiving is my passion, and I will continue that path through TruCare Innovation.
